BSc (Hons) Registered Dietitian
“Good nutrition is the foundation for good and healthy living”
Nigel Denby is a registered Dietitian, Author of ten successful nutrition books and a broadcaster across television and Radio both in the UK and across Europe. Dietitian of the Year 2013, Nigel is the author of The Denby Report – the leading and authoritative review of nutritional subjects.
His special areas of clinical interest are Weight Management, Women’s Health and Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Nigel explains: “I am fascinated by the extraordinary prevalence of these preventable issues- almost half the population are struggling with their weight, 15% of UK adults suffer with IBS and most women will struggle with some kind of hormonal issue during their lifetime. Conventional treatments focus too often on managing the symptoms of these problems rather than looking at the causes. I work closely with patients to understand what is going on in their life and getting in their way of making the sort of diet and lifestyle changes needed to feel better and more in control. I don’t hand out diet sheets or tell people to take a cocktail of supplements, Usually the nutrition element of your plan is quite simple. What makes your plan unique is the personal support and coaching you’ll receive to make sure the change and results are permanent”.
Nigel is registered with the Health Professions Council – and as well as his areas of speciality, he also works with patients in the dietary management of chronic and acute medical conditions including cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and a wide range of digestive and endocrine disorders.
You’ll work with Nigel to develop YOUR programme built around YOUR lifestyle. You’ll decide how you want to be supported throughout your programme. You can combine face to face meetings, email, text and telephone and Skype support.
